We've implemented signing in with either Apple or Google, and are phasing out support for Supercell ID.
This means new users will not be able to create new accounts under Supercell ID. If you have an existing account under Supercell ID, you will still be able to access your account, but we'd recommend signing in with Apple or Google!
There is no reason to panic! We're equipped to tell you exactly how to save your account directly to your Apple or Google ID. If you experience any problems, feel free to contact support who will be on hand to assist you.
You can sign in with Apple (iOS) or you can sign in with Google (iOS/Android). Save your account and play on any device you like!
HOW TO SIGN IN WITH APPLE (iOS only)
Step 1:
Tap on your menu icon in the top right corner of your home screen.
Step 2:
If you're planning on signing in with Apple, please tap the button which shows the Apple logo!
Step 3:
Your device will direct you to sign into your Apple account. If you do not have an Apple account saved and logged in on your current device, you may be redirected to another screen to create one. If you do not get redirected, head to your settings to make an account and come back to this step!
Step 4:
When successful, you will see a confirmation message prompting you to return to Country Star!
After this step, your account will be saved to your device and can also be signed in on any device signing in with the same Apple account.
HOW TO SIGN IN WITH GOOGLE (iOS & Android)
Step 1:
Tap on your menu icon in the top right corner of your home screen.
Step 2:
If you're planning on signing in with Google, please tap the button which shows the Google logo!
Step 3:
Your device will direct you to sign into your Google account. If you do not have one, you can create one!
Step 4:
When successful, you will see a confirmation message prompting you to return to Country Star!
After this step, your account will be saved to your device and can also be signed in on any device signing in with the same Google account.
CONFLICT RESOLUTION
This is not something you should see when you are first prompted to switch from Supercell ID to Apple or Google sign in, but it is something that may happen when switching device.
If you are using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, and an existing account is found under your respective email address, you will be prompted if you wish to use the fresh located account or your current account. The game will display some brief stats on the two accounts to help you make your decision on which account you would like to keep. Once a decision has been made, this cannot be undone. If you chose the wrong account by accident, please contact our customer support to restore your account. This is not a method of switching between accounts and support will be unable to provide help for excessive attempts to switch accounts.
HOW CAN I RESTORE MY ACCOUNT?
If you want to play from a different device, you can use Sign In with Apple or Sign In with Google to restore an existing account to your new device. This function will only work if you have previously signed in with the same credentials on your alternative device.
Step 1:
When opening Country Star, you'll be prompted to either start a new account or you can restore progress. Click Restore Progress, and then choose whether you'd like to sign in with either Apple or Google ID.
Step 2:
You'll be prompted to sign into your account dependent on which option you chose. If you do not have an account created and linked to your account, you won't be able to restore your account using this option.
Step 3:
When successful, you will see a confirmation message prompting you to return to Country Star!
After this step, your account will be restored! Enjoy playing on your new device!
SUPERCELL ID RECOVERY
You will no longer be able to create new accounts and link them to your Supercell ID. However, existing players who previously used and saved their account with Supercell ID can continue to restore their accounts using the same process.
Step 1:
To start your Supercell ID account recovery, tap the button labelled as Looking for Supercell ID? You can access the button via the settings menu after the tutorial has been completed too!
Step 2:
Confirm that you want to continue the recovery process with Supercell ID. If you pressed on this option by mistake, feel free to cancel the request.
Step 3:
You can login via this screen using the email address linked to your Supercell ID account.
Step 4:
Input any requested security codes after this step. They will be sent to the same email address that your Supercell ID is linked to.
Step 5:
When successful, you will see a confirmation message prompting you to return to Country Star!
After this step, your account will be restored! Enjoy playing on your new device!
